About us

Who We Are
We are Trish, a fashion designer and Nick, an industrial/UX designer. We both graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s school of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning. We live in Manhattan and work out of a little nook in our apartment.
What's Our Mission
Bless This Mess started out as a hobby a few years ago when we found out Shapeways allowed us to print porcelain without the upfront manufacturing cost. Most pieces started out as gifts for friends and family. The Dinosaur Candleholder, for instance, was designed for Trish's brother and was inspired by his favorite childhood book, “Dinosaur Bob.”
Whether you live in a tiny apartment like us or in a mansion (we're jealous), we like how our designs can adapt to peoples homes. Driven by clean lines and shapes designers tend to love, our minimal designs have fun personalities that help them feel equally at home as an estate sale find or a deal at a high end designer store.
Why 3D Printing?
You'll notice that a lot of our items are 3D printed by Shapeways based in Long Island City. Shapeways allows us to print our models right here in New York City.
